FPC is a congregation affiliated with the PCUSA. Presbyterians are “Reformed” in identity. Our worship and work are guided by several “confessions” (statements of what matters most to Christians). Some of these confessions are ancient – shared by all churches – whether Eastern Orthodox, Roman Catholic, or Protestant. Some are unique to the Reformed tradition.

We are happy to help you explore Presbyterian spirituality of course. But we are most passionate about the claim we share with all other Christians: Jesus is Lord. And because he has given us all good things, including himself, he deserves our best efforts to serve and honor him.

What to expect

We worship in a beautiful building. But we don’t hang around here all week. We gather for worship, and then we’re sent out with a blessing to be God’s people while we work, go to school, raise our kids, and run errands. So Sundays are only a part of our lives together.

But we understand that most people who are considering visiting a church will do so on a Sunday morning for worship services. Here’s what you can expect.

Our service begins at 10:30am and lasts about an hour. You will receive a printed bulletin that will guide you through the service. We share announcements, greet one another, and confess our sins together and hear a reminder about God’s forgiving love.

Then the choir will sing and someone will share a short lesson with the children. We listen to some readings from Scripture, and to a sermon helping us receive God’s love and respond to it. Then we receive an offering and sing a little more before being sent out with a blessing. Every month or so we celebrate God’s love by sharing a meal called the Lord’s Supper.

After we’re dismissed, we gather in the “parlor” for refreshments and conversation. If you're ready to meet people, then please join us afterwards. We'd love to get to know you. There are fellowship pads in each pew. If you want to share your email with us, we'll keep you posted on various opportunities to get involved, serve, learn, and grow.
